Multiple study methods & verse highlights
More ways to meet with God in His Word
SOAPaDay has always been built around daily Scripture and prayer. With this update, you can journal with more than one Bible study method — and mark the verses that matter most with color.
Your existing entries are unchanged. S.O.A.P. remains the default, and everything you have already written stays exactly as you left it.
Multiple reflection methods
When you select a verse in the Bible reader, you can choose how you want to reflect — not just S.O.A.P.
S.O.A.P.
Scripture · Observation · Application · Prayer — the familiar rhythm SOAPaDay was built on.
H.E.A.R.T.
Highlight · Explain · Apply · Respond · Tell — a structured way to slow down, understand the passage, and respond in prayer and action.
- Open the Bible, select a verse or passage, and tap the method you want on the action sheet.
- Enable or disable methods anytime in Reader settings → Reflection methods.
- Each entry remembers its method, so older S.O.A.P. entries and new H.E.A.R.T. entries both display correctly.
Verse highlights with meaning
Highlights help you mark Scripture in the reader and return to it later — with colors that can mean something personal to you.
- Select a verse and tap Highlight, then choose a color.
- The first time you use a color, you can give it a meaning — like Promise, Command, or Comfort — or skip and define it later.
- Manage your color meanings in Reader settings → Highlight colors.
- Multiple highlights on the same passage blend together in the reader.
- When you write an entry, you can link highlight colors to that passage.
- On the Entries tab, filter by color to revisit reflections tied to a specific meaning.
